MarketNewZealand.com is an online trade enquiry system which connects overseas buyers and New Zealand exporters.

It profiles New Zealand exporters, and provides international buyers and investors with an effective and comprehensive channel for doing business with New Zealand.

MarketNewZealand.com is a service of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the New Zealand government’s economic development agency.

What will you do with the information I give you?

We use your information in the following ways:

  • Trade enquiry: when you send us a trade enquiry we use the information to find the best New Zealand exporter(s) to meet your specific needs. 
  • My MarketNewZealand.com settings: when you specify your interests in your My MarketNewZealand.com settings we  use this information to make your home page highly relevant to your particular interests. 
  • Information request: when you tell us you would like to know more about our products and services we will send you targeted information. We treat your information with care and respect. You can review our Privacy Statement at any time.

What does it cost my company to participate?

Registration is free. It costs you nothing to apply, create a profile, or update it. Our free service also includes searching and lodging trade enquiries for New Zealand exporters.

How secure is this site?

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise uses powerful 128-bit SSL encryption technology and Secure Socket Layers (SSL) in all areas where your personal identity and information needs to be confidential. SSL encryption prevents others from reading your information as it passes over the internet. Most experts consider it is the best security available on the internet.

As a registered user you must enter your unique username and password to log in to this site. For your added protection New Zealand Trade and Enterprise is certified by VeriSign. This assures you that our site is authentic and that we use SSL security.

Who is listed on MarketNewZealand.com?

All New Zealand businesses are eligible for a profile on the site if they meet all the following criteria:

  • Are a Goods and Services Tax (GST) registered entity
  • Have demonstrated a commitment to exporting
  • Are capable of successfully doing business internationally.

How will you assess my eligibility for registration?

The online application form covers the main factors which NZTE uses to authenticate buyers. These include:

  • Time in business and annual turnover
  • Previous New Zealand market experience 
  • References from existing suppliers.

How long does it take to register?

Registration takes about 10 minutes. You need only review the details you provided on the application and select your product interests.

How is the site kept current and relevant?

Buyers are solely responsible for maintaining their information on this site. While it is not compulsory to update every six months, we suggest that you review your profile every six months. NZTE monitors buyer profile updates and will periodically notify buyers who have not updated their profile within a six-month period.

How do I change my details?

You can change your details through the Edit Your Company Profile page once you have logged in.

How will enquiries received through the site be directed to exporters?

Companies profiled on the site can be contacted in two main ways:

  • Directly by potential customers viewing the site (via email)
  • By the NZTE enquiry system. The buyer enquiry is validated by our staff members offshore and sent to exporters via the NZTE client manager.
