(FHC) is the largest international trade show in China for imported food, wine, beverages, and retail and hospitality suppliers. It has been held for the last 12 years and will be held in Shanghai, December 4-6, 2008. It is a trade-only event.
AusBiotech 2008 is billed as the premier biotechnology conference for the Asia Pacific region and will be held this year in Melbourne, October 26-29, 2008. Last year 1,373 participants attended from 29 countries.
* Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
New Zealand’s successes in the world of competitive yacht racing have led to a deserved reputation for resourcefulness in superyacht design and construction. Ten of New Zealand’s leading marine companies are exhibiting at the 2008 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – the world’s largest boat show – in October-November.
A dozen of New Zealand’s premiere marine companies are exhibiting at the 2008 Monaco Yacht Show in September. Luxury superyacht builders, component suppliers, and superyacht interior companies are among those who will be on show at the New Zealand pavilion. The Monaco Yacht Show is the only show exclusively devoted to superyachts of at least 25 meters in length.
This entertainment initiative was begun in Los Angeles on June 23, 2008. An initial networking event between New Zealand entertainment companies and influencers was held at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Further activities are planned.
* Bio 2008
New Zealand sent a delegation of its leading biotech companies to the annual international biotechnology event Bio 2008, held this year in San Diego, California, June 17-20, 2008.
A digital media conference was held in Wellington between May 30-June 1, 2008. The X-Media Lab, which is an event held in a number of countries, included an opportunity for 12 selected New Zealand project teams to take part in workshops with world-class mentors.

Squawk Box, CNBC’s daily business show, was on the road in New Zealand in October 2007, broadcasting live from Auckland and Wellington.
