Symposium to help exporters become Sweden savvy

1 Oct 2008

NEW ZEALAND: Exporters wanting to find out more about exporting to Sweden are invited to take part in a half-day “Export to Sweden” symposium in Auckland.

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and the Embassy of Sweden are hosting the symposium which is aimed at shortcutting many of the potential pitfalls in exporting to a “new” country on the other side of the world.

Sweden can be an ideal entry point to European markets and both New Zealand and Sweden are keen to encourage new and strategic alliances between companies in both countries.

The New Zealand Government recently opened the first Scandinavian Embassy in Stockholm and many top Swedish officials will be attending, and speaking, at the Symposium.

Speakers include:

  • Anders Ahnlid, Director General for Trade, Sweden
  • Jon Blackham, CEO, Xsol Ltd
  • Christina af Klint, Swedish Import Council
  • Peter Lennox, NZ Trade and Enterprise
  • Tony Nowell
  • Brian Richards, BRR

The symposium will be held at the Hilton Hotel on 23 October 2008 and forms part of Swedish Style New Zealand’s week of events.
