Reminder: issuing business invitation letters for visa purposes

Meeting face-to-face with potential business partners from overseas is a key part of developing sustainable commercial relationships.

However, sometimes overseas people do not have genuine reasons when they seek an invitation to visit New Zealand to look at a business or forge a business relationship. Their request may be a cover for attempted illegal immigration.
New Zealand businesses should be cautious about any requests from unknown people for invitations to visit New Zealand.

We recommended that you contact New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to discuss how the request can be checked and validated.
